Conflict of the heart and the mind...

At times i wonder what does my heart want and what is the mind trying to explain... but in the conflict the answer is never clear. i want to confess to my mind that yes the heart has expectations which may be unrealistic but that does not mean that the heart has no right to desire. The mind is not always wrong... there are times when the heart needs to be controlled and stopped from crossing its limits and choosing the irrational way. The heart knows its limits but the mind each time has a reason to curb the desires of the heart. The heart is clueless of what is right and what is wrong... it just knows what makes it happy.. On the other end the mind is smart and it has always known that this is right and this is wrong... It's strange that the path which the heart follows leads to happiness while the path of the mind has complications and confusion.. The question which arise now is, when people say "follow your heart"... does that mean follow your heart but make sure the mind gives you the permission?? I don't know.. I want to know... It's too risky to make the heart 'THE RULER' while the mind 'THE SLAVE' as the heart is too sensitive to face the consequences of its actions.

Why is it that you can't expect a solution? is it so difficult to make a choice? Can one day I wake up and say i want to follow my heart and just spend that day smiling and not caring if its right or wrong? I know the answers are within me but I am too scared to face them....
