#MyHeroes: Every stroke evokes an emotion!

I can’t stop smiling when every time someone says, “Your handwriting looks like printed text”. My love for handwriting is inherited from my mom who always inspired me to strive for a good handwriting since my kindergarten days. While mom was there but my friend Isha gave me the gift of a lifetime. She taught me Calligraphy and then began my romance with fonts and handwriting styles. I still have the notebook which has my first calligraphic stroke, errors, new strokes, ink blots and the beautiful moments spent in writing every alphabet in calligraphy. My handwriting became a part of my personality like a shadow self. I started doing research on some handwritten letter companies in India and found a certified Master Penman Jake Weidmann from Denver. He is doing some incredibly amazing work with the use of traditional calligraphic flourishing and hand lettering in the context of fine art. He just opened up a new world for me through his work. Every single art work which incorporate...

If you find a #spacesnhanced captioned under a tastefully decorated room photograph, be assured Swapna Tayade Talkar , an interior designer has worked her magic again. So this 27 year old fun loving, explorer, independent, social, travel junkie and all the extrovert qualities put together loves to live life moment by moment and is in no rush.  On a Saturday afternoon, when I asked Swapna about her goals and dreams she took a trip down the memory lane and remembered her favorite dream of traveling abroad, staying in a pg, making food and managing things on her own.  All this would have been possible three and a half years back but destiny had something else in store for her. “I am a happy man”, says 41-year-old Noel Smith, Director and founder of Film Farming who agreed for an unplanned interview at his tastefully personally designed beautiful house.   A man who never planned anything in life has come a long way winning accolades for his work and admiration for the person he is.   As a child he was disciplined, obedient and a simple person, wh o has not changed even a bit in the 40 years.   His fingers would create magic on paper in the form of sketches and he would find solace in every stroke of the pencil. He was an average student and had an undying love for sports. A cricket fanatic, he always wanted to become a cricketer but didn’t get a chance to pursue it. Soon, the sketches became lost friends as life had played its part. It was his turn to let go of the support system and move ahead. With only his 11-year-old brother - his small world and family with him, he embarked on the journey to carve an identity for himself ...

The Last Meeting

Image
“Tattered memories, shapeless emotions and unfulfilled desires” keeps lingering on her mind. The last meeting remained like a scar on his heart.   He tried his best explaining the turmoil he was fighting in his mind every day and night. That day, words couldn’t curb her anger or maybe it was more the angst within her which was exploding and causing the damage.    What was she wanting from the conversation remained an undying mystery for him. She knew he is the one yet not the one with her right now.   He gave her a reason to smile just like sunshine in her life yet the rays faded as it touched her. He became the prose of her poetry yet she felt detached from the words.  “She was the one, I wanted you to stay”, his thoughts echoed in solitude. He was strong enough to put a normalcy mask in front of the world yet fighting the conflict in his heart every moment.   He was aware of the damage being caused yet was still struggling to save the l...
