#MyHeroes: Every stroke evokes an emotion!

I can’t stop smiling when every time someone says, “Your handwriting looks like printed text”. My love for handwriting is inherited from my mom who always inspired me to strive for a good handwriting since my kindergarten days. While mom was there but my friend Isha gave me the gift of a lifetime. She taught me Calligraphy and then began my romance with fonts and handwriting styles. I still have the notebook which has my first calligraphic stroke, errors, new strokes, ink blots and the beautiful moments spent in writing every alphabet in calligraphy.

My handwriting became a part of my personality like a shadow self. I started doing research on some handwritten letter companies in India and found a certified Master Penman Jake Weidmann from Denver. He is doing some incredibly amazing work with the use of traditional calligraphic flourishing and hand lettering in the context of fine art. He just opened up a new world for me through his work. Every single art work which incorporates calligraphy and hand lettering is inspiring. He studied the grip of celebrated Masters and formulated them into his ergonomic design and initiated the Weidmann's Ergonomic Oblique Penholder.

While Master Penman Jake’s every work of art is impeccable but my top favorites is Indivisible”-

The picture of the collective stripes of two Zebras depicts the power of unification and the impact of the impact of many over the independence of one. Wow! I mean the whole idea behind using a Zebra as the subject in the art work and playing with the stripes can take your heart away.

Another amazing art work is Steward’

Penman Jake had the honor of visiting the Wind River Indian Reservation near Riverton, Wyoming and he expressed his experience of the place and the people of the Northern Arapaho tribe in this work. The words which are as feathers in this headdress are by Eleanor Perry Smith who is a worthy steward.

Woah! I just can’t get enough of his work as every artwork is beautiful and mesmerizing. He has stirred the emotions within me and made me reconnect to my love for calligraphy and fonts. The joy of creating something which is full of emotions, passion and expression can be consuming. Master Penman Jake gives me a reason to hold that curvy pen again to let the strokes caress my heart.
