Worth An Experience........
On 14th December 2009 I visited my favourite serial “ Dill Mill Gayye” set which you may feel is so childish. Life can be so strange things happened when you are not even expecting it. I used to watch “Sanjivani” the serial whose sequel is “Dill Mill Gayye” when I didn’t have cable connection at my place but to go to my neighbour’s place every Wednesday to see it was a religious ritual. Everyone hated the serial around me and always stopped me from watching it but I was adamant. My friend suezelle played an important part in making this dream of mine come true……..it was least expected that a girl from Goa came to Mumbai and managed to find a Production House to do her internship but that’s suez focused and dedicated.
When I entered the campus of Cinevistas (production house) I sensed an adrenaline rush with anxiety and curiosity trying to compete with each other. All my preconceived notions about the set and stars were crushed to death. I always thought my favourite star has a glamorous life which was so not true. Everyone has to struggle and put in hard work to achieve success is what I learned through this experience. Every shot delivered take pains taking efforts of 500 people who religiously work for it on a 12hour shift basis. This 500 people which includes the lights men, cameramen, ADs, make-up guys, junior artistes, directors, producers, script writers and so many others to name spend each minute constructively to produce something for us to see on our television set.
As a viewer I was on cloud nine for the time I spent in Cinevistas campus but as a Media student and future media professional I was enriched with the kind of work which goes on behind that silver screen and how it is done with not only people who are qualified to do it but also the people who are qualified enough to earn their bread and butter through this. My love and respect for the serial has now gone to another level of understanding where I realized my future demands more from me than my potential without excuses and complaints……
you forgot the 'creative Director' :P
